 Dear Loretta,

I am out of the office this week, but a number of time -sensitive items have come in and I am going to quickly get them out to you!

www.umvim.info and www.individualvolunteers.info

Howard Baulch, W OH, has brought to my attention that the two shortcut urls (above) that we use extensively in UMVIM trainings, are currently out of commission. The GBGM launched a new website just before General Conference which precipitated this loss. Hopefully the GBGM will re-purchase them before another site wants them. For now, you can use this site for all your UMVIM information:

Items needed for English Summer School in Ilawa, Poland

Dear Friends, Peace and grace from Jesus Christ.

How do you feel? We hope that you doing fine.

Dear Friend in July by 2 week, I and my small congregation will organize the 7th English Summer School in Ilawa, lessen will be in the high school which is near our parish. Probably 4 people from US UMVIM will come to help. We will teach conversational English, and practise only in English language. Ilawa has a big problem unemployment, many children and youth in summer will stay in their home. Therefore I would like organize a good time and do outreach for these people with the English lessens.

There will be 4 hours of lessens every day for 10 days: conversation, music, knowledge  about US states, with games, hand works, etc).  Perhaps 50 youth from ages 13 to 19 will attend. They will be in 4 groups. Every one hour teachers will change class, groups. Therefore one group in the day will have 4 teachers, 4 different lessens.

I have a request to you, or you can ask your friends and members from church if they can organize some materials for our English summer school and send packages by post office to Ilawa at my home adress. These materials would much help the English summer school.

These items would be helpful :  small American flags, postcards with American towns, states, animals, American pens, small balls, labels, maybe small dictionaries, any books on English lessens, maybe interesting small games. They should be mailed by the end of May- June.  Maybe you have any props about interesting lessen on summer, please write me.

I would like that our summer school will interesting for youth. I also will organize any materials but I think that from US oryginal materials are more interesting.

Please write me if you are willing to help. Thank you for your answer! English summer school is a very good Methodist ministry in Iława.

Tomorrow in our services in Iława we will think and pray for you, for your family, for your Pastors ministry and for whole congregation. Our prayer is the good bridge with you and with our Lord Jesus. We love you all and always wish for you all many blessings.

Again thank you for all

God bless you

yours Pastor Kris with family Zofia, Julia, Wiktoria and with Methodist church from Iława

Now you are the body of Christ  ~1 Cor. 12:27

Christ has no body now on earth but yours,
no hands but yours,
no feet but yours,
Yours are the eyes through which the compassion
of Christ is to look out on a hurting world.
Yours are the feet with which he is to go about doing good.
Yours are the hands with which he is to bless now. ~Teresa of Avila
