Adult Sunday School Classes
Church of the Saviour has a number of Adult Sunday School classes which welcome new members. No matter which worship service you attend, there is an adult Sunday school class for you. Classes meet from September through June.
Believers Class
The group focuses on Bible study, faith-based books, and topical issues such as living prayer, spiritual needs and gifts. The class is very involved in missions, and is in charge of the Angel Tree project at Christmas. The group chooses studies based on the interests of its members. Contemporary Disciples
This Sunday school class begins with a discussion to select their next study series. Topics alternate between novels and books of the Bible. The group meets at 11:00 a.m. in Room 205. Please call Elizabeth Conlon for more information.
Kingsley Class
The Sunday morning program is a lecture format followed by group discussion, often with a guest speaker who addresses current subjects from a Christian perspective. Christian fellowship is emphasized through a series of socials throughout the year and selected community outreach opportunities. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Bethel Room. Seekers Class
This Bible study class begins with a roundtable discussion to catch up on summer activities. The class will begin a new study the next week. The group also supports missionaries who grew up within the church. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in Room 205. Please call Susan Ziegler for more information.
Towers Class
The class chooses speakers and studies on religious and contemporary topics, such as the lineage of David, comparative religions and health issues. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in Room 224. Please call Ros Collins or Judy Heuman for more information.
Wesley Fellowship
The group features a program of guest speakers and contributes to missions and other church projects during the year. The class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Chapel. Please call Diane Deuring for more information.
Youth Sunday School
Youth Sunday school classes meet at 11:00 a.m. from late August through mid-June.
- Grades 6 and 7 meet in Room 316.
- Grade 8 meets in the Bethel Room.
- Senior High Grades 9 through 12 meet in the Youth Room, Room 204.
Children's Sunday School
Sunday school classes at Church of the Saviour are designed to lead children to a knowledge of Jesus Christ, to help them grow in their faith and to develop lifelong patterns of Christ-like living. Classes are available for age 3 through Grade 5. Experienced nursery care is available for children from birth through age 2 during Sunday morning worship services. Pagers are available to summon parents to a child in need.
Classes meet from September through June. During the summer months, children's Sunday school is offered at 10:30 a.m. for those in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Child care is provided from 8:30-11:30 a.m. for infants and toddlers.
Nursery, Toddlers & Twos on Sunday Mornings (Coordinator: Pam Bowler)
Nursery - Ages 0-18 months in the Crib Room.
Toddlers and Twos - 18 months to 3 years in Room 100. Children may move up from the nursery any time
after turning 18 months.
Preschool on Sunday Mornings (Coordinator: Renee Leonard)
3 years to pre-Kindergarten in Room 223/225 at 9:30 a.m. and at 11:00 a.m. Children must be 3 by September 1.
Elementary Sunday School (Coordinator: Renee Leonard)
Elementary classes at 9:30 a.m.
- Kindergarten and Grades 1 and 2 meet in Room 228.
- Grades 3 through 5 meet in Room 212.
Elementary classes at 11:00 a.m.
- Kindergarten and Grade 1 meet in room 228.
- 2nd and 3rd grades meet in room 214.
- 4th and 5th grades meet in room 224.
