The man whose daughter had just died, the woman who had been sick for twelve years, and the man whose career was at a dead end all turned to Jesus in their desperation.  Jesus offers help and hope to them and to us.  Thus, Dr. Yoost asks the question, “How Desperate Are You?”

Singing into the Light

Isaiah 58:6-10

 On United Methodist Women’s Sunday, the Reverend Doctor Margaret Streiff, District Superintendent of the Mid-Ohio District of the United Methodist Church, combines preaching and hymn singing to illustrate the importance of song in the mission of the church.  Through song we experience the love of God.  Through song we are inspired to spread that love to the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
