The Passion-Driven Life

The Passion-Driven Life

Genesis 1:26-27; Luke 17:20-21

Guest preacher Dr. M. Kent Millard shares what it means to be a “passion-driven” congregation.  Dr. Millard is the Senior Pastor of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Indianapolis, Indiana, the largest United Methodist Church in the nine state jurisdiction.  In this sermon, he challenges every church member to examine their life, discover that about which they are truly passionate, and then apply that passion to the work of the church, sharing the love of God in ministry and mission.

Always Complaining!

Always Complaining!

Exodus 16:2-3,9-21; Matthew 20:1-16.

Dr. Yoost preaches on “Always Complaining!” Although we are well aware that life is not fair to us or to others, we are reminded in these Scriptures that God supplies our needs and that God’s grace is poured out upon everyone — including us!

Looking Forward

Looking Forward

Exodus 14:19-31

Exodus 14 tells of Moses parting the waters of the sea, so the Israelites could pass through while being chased by the Egyptian army. In this sermon, Rev. Mark Steiger suggests that, as we pass throught the waters of life, we focus our attention on a future “milk and honey” relationship in communion with the living God, rather than looking over our shoulders at the Egyptian armies of our past.

All in the Same Boat

All in the Same Boat

Matthew 18:15-20

Dr. Charles Yoost preaching on “All in the Same Boat.” The church is an amazing organization, different from any other organization in the world. All of us “miss the mark” from time to time. As God forgives us, so we are called to reach out and forgive others and let them know that God’s grace includes them!
