Follow Me!

Follow Me!

Jonah 3:1-5 & Mark 1:14-20

Dr. Yoost preaching on the theme “Follow Me!” Jesus preached a one sentence sermon inviting four fishermen (and us!) to discipleship. He did not ask, “Do you agree with me?” but “Will you follow me?” The time is now. His message is clear: Let Jesus have charge of your life!

We Have Found Him!

We Have Found Him!

I Samuel 3:1-10 and John 1:43-51

Dr. Yoost explains that all the while we are looking for happiness and fulfillment in life, God is looking for us! God is persistent! God does not give up on us. May we recognize God’s voice, calling us to service, and respond as Samuel did, “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.”

Knowing Who You Are

Knowing Who You Are

Mark 1:4-11

Dr. Yoost preaching on the subject “Knowing Who You Are.” We are branded against identity theft at our baptism. Baptism reminds us that we are God’s children, created in God’s image for a definite purpose and mission in the world. As baptized persons, we are called to make disciples of Jesus Christ, strengthen the Christian community, alleviate human suffering and seek justice, freedom and peace for all people.
