I’m Still Not Sure!

I’m Still Not Sure!

Luke 24:36-48.

Dr. Yoost preaches on the theme “I’m Still Not Sure!” Like the birth of a baby, the resurrection of Jesus disrupts and changes our lives. We are witnesses to what God has done. We are called to be agents of new life in a world where evidence of the resurrection seems to be in short supply. How threatening God’s gifts of new life can be, and how wonderful!

Proof of the Resurrection

Proof of the Resurrection

John 20:19-31, Psalm 133 and Acts 4:32-35

Dr. Charles Yoost, Senior Pastor, preaches on the theme, “Proof of the Resurrection.” There is considerable doubt in our day, just as there was in Jesus’ day. The real “proof” of the resurrection was the amazing witness of the early church. They were of “one heart and soul.” Their example challenges us to live: grounded in the hope of the resurrection, as good stewards of our possessions, and in unity with one another.

There’s Always Easter!

There’s Always Easter!

Mark 16:1-7

Dr. Charles Yoost preaches on the theme, “There’s Always Easter!” When the women came to the tomb, they were concerned about who would roll away the stone that had sealed Jesus’ body in the grave. They didn’t need to worry, for when they looked up, they saw that the stone had already been rolled back. Easter changes everything! The old world has ended; a new world has begun. The presence of Jesus is with us, and we can have a new life, not just someday when we die, but here and now, today!

Which Parade?

Which Parade?

Psalm 118:19-29; Mark 11:1-10

Dr. Yoost preaches on the theme, “Which Parade?” Jesus entered Jerusalem from the east on that first Palm Sunday, the Roman governor, Pilate, and his army entered the city from the west, taking up residence for the Jewish festival of Passover. The confrontation between the imperial power of Caesar and the kingdom of God, represented by Jesus, was played out during that first Holy Week. Today Jesus challenges us to choose which parade we will follow.
