Church Library
News From the Genevieve Seese Library
The church library is now located in the new addition!
The long-awaited day has finally arrived. We have moved into our new home and we love it! It is large, bright and beautiful. Saturday, January 5, fourteen volunteers helped the five library committee members move over 3,000 books and videos to our new space in the church addition. Our friends at Cleveland Heights library helped us by generously lending four large book trucks. This made the move go much faster. We finished in less than three hours! Computers will be in place by the end of the month. Then everyone will be able to search for books on our new Surpass Safari computer program.
Our first event will be the biennial Bible Bookworm Club Reading Program. Co-sponsored by Children's Ministries, it starts on Sunday, January 20 and will run for 6 weeks. All children in grades K-5 are invited to join. Flyers will be handed out in Sunday school and also be available on the desk in the new library. All participants will be treated to an ice cream party on Sunday, March 2 from 3-4:30 p.m. Don't be left out. Join the fun and sign up today.
Even with all this activity we haven't neglected new books. Here are a few that might pique your interest:

About the Church Library
The Genevieve Seese Church Library serves as a ministry of the Church of the Saviour by providing resources with solid Biblical content and timeless Christian truths to aid in Bible study and personal discipleship, and to encourage spiritual growth and Christian outreach.
The library has a collection of books, videos, magazines, audio tapes and DVDs to assist church members and friends of all ages in their Christian walk.
Materials are loaned for three weeks.
The library is now on the first floor, just inside the entrance to the new church addition.
Hours
The library is open to all when the church is open. The library is staffed on Sunday mornings from 10:30 - 11:00 a.m. and Mondays from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Library Volunteers
Besides getting the new library in order volunteers are currently entering the last books into the new computer and continue to process new materials; file catalog and borrower cards; log in and re-shelve books; notify borrowers about overdue books, keep the shelves orderly; change displays and the bulletin board regularly; create timely book lists; and help borrowers find the books they need. The library has a small staff of volunteers dedicated to the ministry of the library, and would welcome new volunteers. Librarians will try to accommodate your schedules, abilities and interests. Please call the church office if you are interested.
