Music Ministry

A choir member writes: “Singing is one way to share my faith with others. Our voices are gifts from God. What we do with them can give us great joy and happiness. The choir is a family within the greater church family and although I enjoy the practices and sharing time with other choir members – it is the actual giving voice to and sharing my love of God that are the reasons why I love being in choir.”

Making music together with others is a very important ministry of the church. Church of the Saviour offers opportunities for people of all ages to participate in our music ministry. Auditions are not necessary, although a love of singing/ringing is required. Adults can praise God by joining the Chancel Choir which sings weekly at the 11:00 a.m. service or GOOD NEWS which sings monthly at 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. Some people choose to sing in both choirs. For information on any of our ensembles, please call Judith Higbee, Director of Music, at (216) 321-8880.

Church of the Saviour is equipped with a 47 bell Petit and Fritsen Carillon, one of the largest in our area. In the sanctuary is a 52 rank Austin Organ, a five octave set of Malmark handbells, a five octave set of Whitechapel English handbells and a 3 octave set of handchimes.
